We made a rare find… An RV park in Colorado open year round, with close accessibility to skiing, great food, and hot springs! You can thank us later. The Four Seasons RV Resort in Salida, Colorado is one of the few RV parks offering year round availability. They do book up quickly, so advanced reservations are needed. They boast RV pads, for large or wide fifth wheels and motor-coaches. They also have large and wide pull through RV sites for your large RV. If you’re not interested in taking your RV, but are looking for a great getaway, they offer rental homes, cabins, and chalets. You can ride the bus up to the Monarch Ski Resort ($5 round trip), which is only about a half hour away, and the best news of all? It picks up and drops off right at the hot springs… The perfect way to end a day on the slopes. According to their website, “The Salida Hot Springs Pool is the largest indoor hot springs facility in the country. Our water is gathered from an underground springs eight miles up the road, high in the Rocky Mountains. From there, it is piped directly to our pools through insulated pipeline, delivering fresh hot water continually. This sparkling clear, odorless water was originally enjoyed by the area’s first inhabitants, the Ute Indians. We now respect and enjoy this water for it natural refreshing and warming qualities.” Located just a few hours away from Denver, this could be the perfect weekend getaway you’ve been looking for.
